Final Days in the USA

WOW, 4 more days left in our house, 4 more days of work for Ben in the USA, and 15 days left till we begin our move overseas!!! We sold Ben's car, thank God, and it was super easy! We got a fair price for it as well, nothing we complained about.  I have had strep throat this past week so I have been really behind in getting things together for moving out of our house.  Kristie and Tyler even came over to help me clean and organize, they are too good to us!  We are wearing ourselves out traveling to see family and friends last minute, stressing about the move, and getting things organized and ready to go.  This is definitely a new experience for both of us and an emotional time as well.  We are starting to have the "lasts" of things before we return to the states again, like "the last BBQ meal at Rudy's", "the last Bible Study", "the last dinner with friends". It is bittersweet.  We truly are going to miss America, family, friends, our puppy, and many things we can't get in Singapore that we take for granted here. We will just have to find things over there to get attached to that we can't find in America!

38 Days to Go!

We will officially be out of the country in 38 days!! Time is going by SO FAST!! Our move is coming along! We have booked all of our flights, made hotel reservations and have set up a storage unit! All we have left to do mainly is sell Ben's car, and figure out what we are taking and leaving.  We will be moved out of our house on the 16th of December and will be traveling to Florida for our cousin's wedding from Dec. 18-22.  When we come back to Houston, we will stay in a hotel for two days and then travel to Austin to spend Christmas with my family from Dec. 24-28. We fly to Hawaii on the 28th where we will be spending Christmas with Ben's family for a week. From Hawaii, we will fly to Singapore on the 4th of January (we have a really long layover in Manila so we get to spend the night in the Philippines which will be fun!) When we arrive to Singapore on the 6th of January we will be staying at Orchard Parksuites, a serviced apartment, for a whole month while we get our bearings and try to find a condo to live in.

December will be an extremely busy month for us while we try to get everything together as well as spend time with our family and friends before we leave.  Please say some prayers that everything goes smoothly!!

Love,

The Jackmans
